# Matter Types

1. On the left-side of your dashboard on the admin page, select **matter types** from the list of menu items.

2. Click the green **+ Add matter type** on the top right hand corner of your screen to begin adding a matter type.

3. Type the name of the **matter type** and click **Save.**

**Note:** Fields with <mark style="color:red;">\*</mark> are the compulsory fields
